The best craic in town!

Located on one of the oldest hotel sites in Brisbane, it is generally believed that the first hotel built on the site was the Dunmore Arms, in 1865. In 1888, it was redesigned and renamed as The Treasury Hotel and used to serve the new government treasury building across the street. On 29 October 1999, it was opened as the beloved Irish Murphy’s that we know and love today.

Our dedication to the traditional Irish Pub is immediately seen in the wooden bar tops, cabinetry and extensive collection of Irish knick-knacks that you can find in our CBD location, on the corner of George Street and Elizabeth Street.
